The Hokema Kalimba (17 Note) is an attractive instrument to look at and to listen to. It was handcrafted from solid American cherry wood in Germany and its surface has been treated and polished with vegetable oil and wax. As it is tuned to the C major scale, it is impossible to play a wrong note and with this tuning you will be able to play almost any song, each note is precisely tuned ensuring a great sound every time.

This handmade Hokema Kalimba percussion instrument is recommended for beginners but also professional musicians and sound therapists. It is a portable musical instrument that you can take with you anywhere you go and is wonderful for producing melodies and improvisational play. The kalimba evolved from the African Mbira - the Hokema kalimbas are the best on the market. The sound can be enhanced by placing it on a tabletop or drum skin, the vibrations will reverberate projecting the sound further. This specific design of instrument comes in many different sizes with various amounts of key tines but we added this one first to our range as it is considered a full size instrument.
