The Dholak Drum originated in India but has been used for years in many other countries, each one will play the drum differently and for different celebrations. The Dholak Drum can be tightened changing its rhythm and sound each time. The dholak is usually used at weddings, parties and dances.
Using your hands and arms, use one arm to scoop the drum so both ends of the drum are exposed and tap or pat with the palms of your hands. You can also play it over your shoulder, under your knee or however you feel. You can also use beaters to play different patterns (sold separately).
